Job description
We are looking for Youth Mentor Volunteer to empower and uplift young people, specifically those aged 16-25, who reside in the Croydon and the surrounding areas, by providing the support and opportunities they need to thrive. We are committed to creating a brighter future where every young person has the tools and confidence to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Mentor and guide young people through one-to-one or group sessions
- Support delivery of workshops, skills programmes, and community activities
- Act as a positive role model, promoting confidence and personal growth
- Assist with events, outreach, and recreational projects
- Provide encouragement to help young people achieve their goals
What We’re Looking For
- Good communication and listening skills
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting young people
- Willingness to work as part of a team
- Commitment to our mission and values
- Previous youth work or mentoring experience is helpful but not essential full training provided
